MILKY WAVE & PARTIBREJKERS

Pine, April 26 at 8pm

MILKY WAVE:

The Tivat band Milky Wave is formed in 2020 with the mission to move crowds of all ages with good sound. The repertoire of one of the most popular bands on the club scene in Montenegro includes electro/pop/funk/rock hits of foreign and domestic artists, guitarist and frontman Marko Đurišić, bassist Aleksandar Dragojević, and drummer Davor Marković.

PARTIBREJKERS:

Reincarnated several times, the Belgrade punk-rock band Partibrejkers has survived on the scene for over four decades because conviction is what binds them. Irony and sarcasm are the bases of their performance. Through their songs, the street speaks, that resilient one, with the motto ‘freedom or nothing’, and for such a thing, it is necessary to be loud enough in sleep and wakefulness against greed and avarice. Because the fun still goes on in our poor empire, sour and sweet, and so it will be for a Thousand years, all the way to the new Ice Age. The history of Yugoslav rock’n’roll does not recognize a band that has transformed its outsider position into a more fascinating generational sound. Their songs are above east and west, and if you haven’t, it’s time you hear them too.

THEATER PLAY: THE OTHER SIDE OF THE WIND

Cultural Centre, May 12 at 8pm

Inspired by the poetry of Miroslav Mika Antić, ‘The Other Side of the Wind’ is a play for those who are growing up, discovering love and lyricism, but also for the slightly older ones, who have forgotten that ‘in the beginning was the word.’ Born from love.

The dramatization and direction are by Branko Ilić, based on the motifs of Antić’s ‘Incredible Sea Song’, which deals with growing up and maturing through the symbolism of the sea and sailors.

The cast includes Stefan Vuković, Marko Rajković, Lara Dragović, Pavle Bogojević, Danica Rajković, Mirjana Spajić, and Lazar Đurđević. The student play ‘The Other Side of the Wind’, which has been successfully performed in the country and the region, was created during the Covid pandemic in a co-production between the Tivat Cultural Center and the Faculty of Dramatic Arts from Cetinje.
