EVENING OF KLAPA SONGS

In collaboration with the Association of A Cappella Musicians Tivat, founded with the goal of promoting klapa music as a segment of the authentic intangible heritage of Boka Bay, we present the Evening of Klapa Songs at the plateau of the Church of Saint Anthony in Tripovići, featuring three exceptional vocal ensembles – klapas Jadran, Camerton, and Incanto.

The plateau of the Church of Saint Anthony is one of the locations we return to from festival to festival because we want to popularize this beautiful viewpoint as a meeting and socializing place, as well as an exceptional open-air stage for organizing appropriate cultural programs.

This year, we look forward to an evening of great sound, delicious homemade delicacies, and a glass of wine, all with the aim of ensuring that everyone enjoys the atmosphere and the lively setting, while remembering how much we enjoyed the music.

PHOTO EXHIBITION “MARITIME CRAFTS” BY THE ADRIATIC ARTISTS

The partnership between the Adriatic Artists Association of Maritime Photographers and the Public Institution Museum and Gallery Tivat continues, bringing us another exhibition inspired by the sea and the rhythm of life at sea as part of Windfest.

The collective exhibition “Maritime Crafts” is the result of an internal competition organized for Windfest 2025. This international artists’ association proudly gifts it to Tivat as the eleventh joint exhibition in Montenegro and Croatia over the course of 12 years of activity.

“Maritime Crafts,” as the central theme of this year’s festival, provided an inspirational foundation for the artistic responses of talented amateur and professional photographers in the form of figuration, allegory, or abstraction. Their works answer the question: what are the sea’s tasks, the work of the sea itself, and all of us who sail, swim, or dive in it?

The selection is curated by the Group Council, composed of professional photographers Vilma Matulić, Jasmina Skroza, Dragan Lopušina, and academic painter Boris Dragojević, a hyperrealist and maritime artist.

The “Maritime Crafts” exhibition will be displayed on two gallery levels at the Museum and Gallery Tivat. The grand opening is scheduled for Friday, May 9th, at 8:00 PM.

MILKY WAVE & PARTIBREJKERS

Pine, April 26 at 8pm

MILKY WAVE:

The Tivat band Milky Wave is formed in 2020 with the mission to move crowds of all ages with good sound. The repertoire of one of the most popular bands on the club scene in Montenegro includes electro/pop/funk/rock hits of foreign and domestic artists, guitarist and frontman Marko Đurišić, bassist Aleksandar Dragojević, and drummer Davor Marković.

PARTIBREJKERS:

Reincarnated several times, the Belgrade punk-rock band Partibrejkers has survived on the scene for over four decades because conviction is what binds them. Irony and sarcasm are the bases of their performance. Through their songs, the street speaks, that resilient one, with the motto ‘freedom or nothing’, and for such a thing, it is necessary to be loud enough in sleep and wakefulness against greed and avarice. Because the fun still goes on in our poor empire, sour and sweet, and so it will be for a Thousand years, all the way to the new Ice Age. The history of Yugoslav rock’n’roll does not recognize a band that has transformed its outsider position into a more fascinating generational sound. Their songs are above east and west, and if you haven’t, it’s time you hear them too.

MARITIME ACTIVITIES

Pine, May 12 at 4pm

A fair of crafts and skills that connect us to the sea.

For one day, Pine will buzz with sea-related activities. We will mingle with sailors from Tivat’s JK Delfin Yacht Club, who will showcase their skills and offer everyone interested a chance to learn the basic concepts, logic, and rules of sailing. The Tivat company UNA Montenegro will present “Meštar o’ konopa,” a workshop of artistic and functional design using ropes. Freelance artist Tatjana Tanja Radonić will bring her globally recognized necklaces made of pierced stones, artistic paintings, and Mediterranean houses painted on stones from Boka rocks and beaches.

The Red Cross Tivat will, as part of Red Cross Week, demonstrate first aid with a focus on lifesaving skills at sea. YC Delfin is a primary maritime school, and the tradition of its model workshop is preserved by the Model Workshop Montić of Tivat’s master and artist Damir Montić, son of the great master Oskar Oka Montić, whose works adorn numerous private and public collections, as well as the maritime collection of the Public Institution Museum and Gallery Tivat. This institution will organize creative workshops inspired by the sea at their stand, led by museum educator Zoran Kruta.
