Klapa Evening

📍 Church of St. Anthony, TIVAT | May 9, 2026 | 8:00 PM

The square in front of the Parish Church of St. Anthony in Tivat will once again become one of the most beautiful stages of WindFest this spring. Following last year’s unforgettable evening, the Klapa Evening returns in an even richer edition, bringing together klapa ensembles from several Montenegrin cities in a setting overlooking Tivat and its waters, giving each note a special charm.

Klapa singing is an essential part of Boka’s local identity and intangible cultural heritage — a blend of Mediterranean spirit, harmony, and emotion passed down through generations. For this reason, the evening holds a special place in the WindFest program and is eagerly anticipated by audiences.

The program is organized by the Bokelian Association of A Cappella Musicians and Sailing Club Delfin. Although relatively young, the association has gained strong recognition across Montenegro and the region for its dedication and quality.

This year’s edition gathers ten klapa ensembles from Tivat, Kotor, Budva, Nikšić, and Podgorica, presenting a diverse program of female, mixed, and youth groups performing both traditional and contemporary arrangements.

Participating ensembles include:

• Female Klapa Aanderba Satis – Nikšić
• Mixed Klapa Anderba Kantores – Nikšić
• Female Klapa Fiori – Tivat
• Female Klapa Fiorellini – Tivat
• Female Klapa Incanto – Kotor
• Female Klapa Belezza – Tivat
• Mixed Klapa Camerton – Podgorica
• Female Klapa Bisernice Boke – Kotor
• Mixed Klapa Jadran – Tivat
• Female Klapa Harmonija – Budva

The evening is conceived as a meeting of generations and towns, celebrating togetherness and harmony under the open sky. Guests will also enjoy a glass of wine and light refreshments in the spirit of Mediterranean hospitality.

Within the setting of the Church of St. Anthony — one of Tivat’s recognizable landmarks — klapa singing once again confirms its power to connect people, preserve tradition, and celebrate the identity of Boka.

Veterans’ Regatta

📍 Sailing Club Delfin, TIVAT | May 10, 2026 | 11:00 AM

As part of WindFest, Sailing Club Delfin once again organizes the Veterans’ Regatta — a sporting event celebrating decades of experience, sailing knowledge, and a lifelong love for the sea.

The Veterans’ Regatta has become a distinctive segment of WindFest, gathering sailors whose dedication and achievements have shaped the history of sailing in Tivat and across Boka Bay. It is both a competition and a meeting of generations, where former rivals cross sails once again while strengthening the sailing community.

The regatta will take place in the waters of Tivat, with the starting signal at 11:00 AM, while participants will gather earlier that morning at the premises of Sailing Club Delfin.

Intended for veteran sailors, the regatta blends competition with a friendly atmosphere where experience and instinct for the wind come fully into their own. The event promotes an active life by the sea, preservation of maritime tradition, and intergenerational connection through sport.

The Veterans’ Regatta reminds us that sailing is not just a sport — it is a way of life that endures.

Maritime Crafts

📍 Pine Waterfront, TIVAT | May 15, 2026 | 08:00

Tivat’s Pine waterfront will once again, for the third year in a row, become a vibrant meeting point with the sea and everything it represents. As part of the Wind Festival, on Friday, May 15, the Sea Skills & Maritime Crafts Fair will take place — a full-day event celebrating tradition, knowledge, and contemporary ways of living by the sea.

The Maritime Crafts Fair brings together sailors, fishermen, divers, artists, and craftsmen, as well as everyone whose work, inspiration, or daily life is connected to the sea. Through an open fair and a dynamic accompanying program, visitors will have the opportunity to explore a wide range of sea-related professions — from nets, ropes, and boat engines, to both modern and traditional crafts that shape Tivat’s identity as a town deeply oriented toward the sea.

The fair segment begins in the morning and runs throughout the day, featuring exhibitors with sales, educational, and promotional content. In cooperation with the Tivat Business Info Center, special attention is given to the development of the craft sector and strengthening the local economy, through the presentation of small and medium-sized enterprises and their products and services.

Alongside the fair, a rich program for all generations will take place. The day begins with authentic demonstrations of fishing activities, such as net hauling and pier fishing competitions. The youngest visitors can enjoy performances, creative workshops, and entertainment, while all guests can take part in “Sea Games,” artistic activities, and musical content throughout the day.

In the afternoon and evening, the program is further enriched with a gastro segment and the educational program “Sea Topics Without Dilemma,” which also carries a humanitarian aspect, along with live music performances and a DJ program.

The event is organized by the Tivat Business Info Center, in partnership with the Tivat Tourist Organization, while the concept and execution are led by Tamara Krstović. The Maritime Crafts Fair represents a blend of tradition, knowledge, and community spirit, affirming the sea as an endless source of identity, inspiration, and development for the local community.

Debate: Defending Vrmac and the Final Days

📍 Gornja Lastva, TIVAT | May 16, 2026 | 7:00 PM

A Conversation on a Landscape Between Protection and Pressure

Sailing Club Delfin, in cooperation with the Cultural and Heritage Association Napredak Gornja Lastva, is organizing a public discussion titled “Defending Vrmac and the Final Days,” to be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 7 PM, at the Josip Marković Cultural Centre in Gornja Lastva.

The discussion will be moderated by journalist and civic activist Brano Mandić. The panel will feature experts who have spent years researching and advocating for the protection of the Vrmac area:

• Željko Starčević, mountaineer, archaeologist, and speleologist (Agency for the Protection and Development of Orjen)
• Aleksandra Kapetanović, conservation architect (Centre for Sustainable Spatial Development Expeditio Kotor)
• Dr. Miloš Petričević, archaeologist (Public Institution “Museums” Kotor)

Vrmac is an area of exceptional natural and cultural value, administratively divided between the municipalities of Kotor and Tivat. A Protection Study has already been prepared as the basis for declaring a Nature Park, and a public consultation has been conducted. Yet formal protection is still pending — despite the fact that, as experts point out, what is missing most of all is political will.

In the meantime, pressures are growing stronger, particularly those related to construction. The situation is further complicated by the fact that the Kotor side of Vrmac lies within the UNESCO-protected area of Kotor, while the Tivat side falls within its buffer zone. The discussion will also address recent amendments to the Law on the Kotor Area, which more precisely define obligations related to spatial protection.

This is an opportunity to remind the public of Vrmac’s values — its rich natural heritage, archaeological sites, fortification legacy, and landscape integrity — while opening an honest conversation about the challenges and responsibilities of institutions and the community. Free shuttle van transport will be provided for all interested visitors, from Tivat town centre to Gornja Lastva. After the discussion, participants and guests will be welcomed to a special gastro experience “Heritage in the Pot,” along with a fitting music program in the spirit of Gornja Lastva’s atmosphere and tradition.

Adriatic Artists Exhibition – “People of the Sea”

📍 Museum and Gallery, TIVAT | May 17, 2026 | 8:00 PM

Sailing Club Delfin, in cooperation with the Adriatic Artists Association of Visual Artists and the Public Institution Museum and Gallery Tivat, proudly announces the fourth international photography exhibition within WindFest 2026, titled “People of the Sea.”

Artists from the eastern Adriatic coast, brought together by Adriatic Artists, are looking forward to meeting again in Tivat and presenting their visual interpretations of life by and with the sea. The association currently gathers over 100 talented photographers and visual artists, while the association’s council will select 30 photographs through an internal competition to be presented to the public.

The exhibition will be displayed across two gallery levels, allowing visitors to enjoy carefully selected works over 15 days. The photographs explore the people, stories, and traditions of coastal life, blending art, heritage, and Mediterranean identity while strengthening the cultural dimension of WindFest. “People of the Sea” offers the audience a chance to experience a visual story of Adriatic life through the artistic lens of some of the region’s most creative photographers — and to connect, through photography, with the tradition, labour, and beauty of the coastal world.

Urban Downhill Race

📍 Skaline, HERCEG NOVI | May 24, 2026|10:00 AM

This year’s Wind Festival brings a strong adrenaline segment with the Urban Downhill race in Herceg Novi, taking place on Sunday, May 24, as the festival’s final sporting event.

Following previous editions held on the slopes of Vrmac, the WindFest Downhill Race is moving this year into the urban setting of Herceg Novi, where its distinctive stone staircases will become a dynamic race course. The start is planned at Ĺ panjola Fortress, with the route leading all the way down to the Ĺ kver city port, passing through the Old Town and the main square by the Clock Tower. The track is approximately 1.3 kilometers long, with runs lasting around three minutes.

The race will be held in a downhill format, with two to three practice runs, followed by qualifications and the final race scheduled for the afternoon. The course is technically accessible, opening the door for a larger number of local competitors, as well as riders from the region — participants are expected from Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, and beyond.

An additional level of quality is brought by the support of partners and sports organizations — the Durmitor Cycling Club as co-organizer, the Cycling Federation of Montenegro, as well as the Herceg Novi Triathlon Club, which will be responsible for timekeeping. Support from the Red Bull brand has also been confirmed.

The program begins on Friday, May 22, with a mini event on the pump track in Igalo, while Saturday is reserved for an exhibition event in Borići on Dizarica — a ride through forest trails developed by the local community, aimed at promoting and supporting the further development of off-road cycling trails in the Bay of Kotor.

Sunday’s race represents a fusion of sport, speed, and a unique setting, turning Herceg Novi into a stage for a top-tier adrenaline spectacle. After the competition, the program continues with music and socializing, concluding with an afterparty at Cafe Radio.

The organization of the event is supported by the Municipality of Herceg Novi, the Sports Center, and the Herceg Novi Tourist Organization, further confirming the event’s significance on the regional map of sports and festival happenings.

The event starts with a gathering at Ĺ kver at 9:00, with the first transport of competitors scheduled for 10:00.
